Admission Procedures for Post Foundation Level

STEP 1 After successfully completion of foundation program students are eligible for post foundation program. The post foundation program comprises with three level Certificate, Diploma and Higher Diploma.
STEP 2 HEAC already allotted the department to the Student for post foundation program.
STEP 3 Register allotted the department to each students as per HEAC selection.
STEP 4 HOS allotted advisor to  new intake student.
STEP 5 Advisor, advised and registered courses to the students and issue the registration form along with time table.
STEP 6 College programs follow the credit hour system.  The credit hour is a unit of measurement specifying the weightage of courses during one academic semester.  It is equal to one weekly period of theoretical lecture, or two weekly periods of practical training in a laboratory or workshop.

The required number of credit hours for graduation at each of the levels of qualification varies according to the different specializations as follows: (Article 43)

(a) Certificate from 24 to 38 credit hours
(b) Diplma from 66 to 76 credit hours
(c) Higher Diploma    from 100 to 114 credit hours
STEP 7  The academic year consists of two successive semesters (one in the fall and the other in the winter) each with a duration of 16 weeks, separated by a two-week mid-year vacation.  A student may study for two additional and consecutive summer semesters of 6 weeks each. (Article 42)
STEP 8 Advisors have follow the following Registration Rule:
  • Case 1 if CGPA<2.75 then A student will be allowed to registered 15 credit Hour but it is found that only 3 credit hours will be left to clear the current level to allow him 3 credit hours so total will 18 credit hour from current level.
  • Case 2 if CGPA >= 2.75 then A student will be allowed to registered 18 credit Hours but it is found that only 3 credit hours will be left to clear the current level to allow him 3 credit hours so total will 21 credit hour from current level.

Mixing 2 Level Registration of student Any student mixing must not exceed max. 12 credit hour.

Summer students

Any normal student must take min. 6 credit hour.

After registering 6 credit hour but it is found that only 3 credit hours will be left to clear the current level If his CGPA >=2.75 then allow him to 9 credit hour from current level.

Any student mixing must not exceed max 9 credit hour.

Probation students are not allowed to mix courses from next level and must take 12 credit hour in normal semester.

STEP 9 The grading system are as follows
  The student’s GPA will be calculated according to the following table:

F below 55 0.0

Obtaining grade C or above in all the specialization courses, C– or above in all departmental requirements, and D or above in all college requirements is the minimum to pass. (Article 48)

STEP 10 The following documents are issued to the students by the admission and registration department of college are as follows

  • Bonafied Certificate
  • Time Table
  • Subject Registration
  • Warning letter I, II and III
  • Graduation certificate during convocation program
  • OJT Certificate
  • EPT Certificate
