Engr. Khair Al-Rawas, SCT Alumni, currently the Flake Quality Engineer at Octal Petrochemicals Company delivered a guest lecture about process and production of polyethylene to Chemical Engineering Advanced Diploma students.

She gave a brief introduction about the post-consumer waste of polyethylene terephthalate of Octal Petrochemicals, and conducted interactive discussion related to the process.

Two other alumni, Engr. Ali Hubais, Process Engineer and Engr. Asraar Baalawy, trainee in Process Safety also attended the session. They shared their experiences and imparted the importance of process safety as well as soft skills needed to meet industry expectations.

Hearing directly from alumni about their experiences in the "real world" of Chemical Engineering is a great opportunity for our students to shape their own plans and ambitions for future employment.

The session concluded at 2:00 pm with Engr. Arlene A. Joaquin, SCT - Chemical Engineering Coordinator giving the word of thanks.
