The main purpose of this guest lecture is to enlighten the students with practical knowledge on some governmental fund opportunities available for the potential entrepreneurs.

Mr. Imad Al-Rawas started his lecture on “Al Rafd Fund” by clarifying the purpose of establishing the fund, the facilities provided, and the targeted category of the fund. He illustrated the qualifications and documents required to get a loan and the percentage to repay the loan after signing the contract. Later, he explained about the four major funding programs such as: Mawrid program, which targets those under the social security system and people with physical challenges for projects with a loan of RO 10,000; Taasess program, which targets job seekers who wish to start projects with a loan of up to RO 20,000; Araayda program, which targets entrepreneurs, craftsman, businessmen and women with loans up to RO 100,000 and Tazeez program which provides additional loans to those beneficiaries of the fund who seek to expand their ventures.
