Self-Access Center
The Self-Access Centre or SAC is a learning resource hub that caters to students’ individual needs and interests. It is where students can work independently to improve their English language proficiency and to build their confidence in using the said language. The SAC has a leisure reading corner, a media lab, and a wide array of journals, projects, dictionaries, stories, novels, course books, and supplementary materials. The SAC is also the venue for other activities, such as academic advising session for at risks students in English, Math Help Center, IT Help Center, orientation for new intake students, workshops for teachers and students, Quality Assurance sessions, and community services.
Writing Center
The Writing Center at the ELC strives to strengthen students’ writing skills by addressing their specific challenges, as well as by bolstering their confidence and encouraging their active participation in their own learning. Students are welcomed both by referral and as walk-in students. In this way, every student has the opportunity to take advantage of the writing support they need.
Computer Laboratories
The ELC features six advanced computer laboratories. Each laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge facilities and programs that facilitate students’ e-learning, such as Moodle for Levels 1-4 and My ELT Platform. Furthermore, a reliable and high-speed Internet connection ensures that students for both Foundation and Post-Foundation programs have an easy access to a wide range of virtual information to do certain assignments, projects, presentations, and researches.
Classrooms
Classrooms in the ELC main and new buildings are spacious and equipped with white boards, LCD projectors, computer sets, speakers, and CCTV cameras. Classrooms are conducive for learning because they are properly maintained in a regular basis.
