The Student Development Committee of chemical engineering specialization organized students’ skill enhancement program on calibration and operation of rotational viscometer. The chemical engineering students learned how to calibrate and use a rotational viscometer to measure the viscosity of test samples. This instrument can measure low and high viscosity samples such as skin care products, ointments, and lotions, as well as other fluids. Through skill development programs, chemical engineering students are encouraged to understand and improve their abilities in equipment calibration and related measurements that are also useful in future advanced studies in engineering thermodynamics and fluid mechanics, as well as other related courses, particularly experimental research projects.
