One of the most cost-effective ways to keep a plant and equipment on-site safe and secure is to have an efficient workshop. Mr. Said Ahmed Habkook Kashoub, Senior HSE Manager, Raysut Cement Company delivered a workshop at University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) Salalah-Chemical Engineering, in coordination with Industrial and Community Engagement Committee(ICEC) about the industry's potential hazards and risks, as well as how to continuously monitor those hazards. He also asserted that if the company succeeds in establishing a strong preventive culture, accidents can be avoided. Throughout all types of organizations, health and well-being must be a top priority at all stages.
The goal of this workshop is to introduce the importance of health and safety as well as to provide training and a specific approach to risk assessment. To manage risk and hazard situations, people must be trained and deemed competent.
