A delegation from the Eidaad Team met students from the different specializations of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences-Salalah on February 9th, 2022 to introduce the purpose, benefits and the registration process of the "Eidaad" program. As part of the efforts to enhance the industrial and academic cooperation, that is, bridging the gap between industrial and academic institutions, Eidaad is a valuable collaboration between The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MOHERI) and Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) in cooperation with academic institutions. The program similarly aims to provide a combined internal training program for a full academic year that focuses on upgrading highly skilled students, developing their practical abilities and building the students’ practical technical skills before graduation.
The College Dean, Dr. Mohammed Rashid Al-Mamari together with the College Council members welcomed the delegation headed by Mr. Hamed Al- Hadhrami, External Learning & Development Manager, and discussed cultivating the roles of educational institutions in building the students’ capabilities and practical experiences to achieve compatibility with the needs of the labor market and the industries.
A future awareness workshop was agreed to be delivered for the lecturers for the academic staff to learn more about the Eidaad Program.
