The Information Technology Section, in collaboration with the IT Student Development Committee, hosted an online workshop for students on “Exploration and Practice of Embedded Systems in Education” on November 23, 2021.
The workshop aimed at supplementing students' knowledge on the fundamental concepts and current trends in embedded systems, that can be applied in capstone projects, course projects, and innovation efforts.
Engr. Meynard Soriano, lecturer from the Philippines, was the guest speaker. He started his presentation by showing some examples of embedded systems applications that are already available in the market. After that, he described the embedded systems, their components, and their functions all together. Then, he showed how embedded systems work in the academe and in real-world scenarios.
The workshop received a positive response from the approximately 50 student participants who considered it insightful and beneficial.
