To keep abreast with new trends in technology and teaching, the Human Resources Development Committee, headed by Mrs. Melissa Juanillo, organized an online training entitled “Using Google Workspace Education Tool for Online Teaching and Learning,” for the IT staff on Tuesday, 3rd of May, 2021.

Mr. Franco Nicolo Addun, a Google Certified Innovator/Educator and an Education Technology and Technology Integration Specialist from the Philippines, shared his knowledge on the features and capabilities of the three Google apps: Google Sites for creating websites, Google Jamboard for enhancing student online interaction, and (3) Gmail tips and tricks for email management.

The participants learned that Google tools help increase opportunities for critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity, all while supporting the learning objectives for the students.

Facilitators of the said training were Dr. Mohammed Maqsood, Mrs. Asra Anjum, and Dr. Benciya Abdul Jaleel. A total of 35 participants from the IT and other departments gave their positive feedback about the online training, and each of them received e-certificates of participation.
