The Database Specialization under the Multimedia Section of the IT Department at UTAS-Salalah annually conducts skill and research enhancement workshops for the bachelor-level course project students. This academic year 2022-23, with the continued support of the Head of the IT Department, Dr. Fatima Al-Shanfari and Head of the Multimedia Section, Dr. Abhishek Dubey, the students registered for the Course Project in Semester-I attended the workshop on the 27 th of September 2022 at BSIT-19L in IT Business Building. This program was organized by Mr. Muhammad Azeem Qureshi, the DB Specialization Program Coordinator with the DB Course Project Team supervisors.

The workshop focused on the topics of Project Action Plan, Proposal Writing, Project Management, and Database Design which gave the students an overall view of the course. The facilitators were Ms. Melissa P. Juanillo, Mr. Mohammed Sulaiman, Mr. Muhammad Azeem Qureshi, Mr. Mohammed Atheeq, and Mr. Suresh Kumar.

The facilitators discussed the project milestone, deliverables, formats, and key stages. The students were motivated to bring innovative ideas focusing on industry and their work should be beneficial for the community and local industry.
