The Information Technology Department, UTAS-Salalah, hosted an orientation program on Certiport Microsoft Examination to 42 IT students from various levels and specializations via Google Meet on May 5, 2021.
Dr. R. Venkateswaran, a lecturer from the Networking and Information Security section and a proctor and member of Certiport UTAS Salalah, co-facilitated the program with Mr. Sunil Thomas Karickom, Mr. Mohamed Sinnaiya Chithik Raja, Mr. G Baskar, and Mr. Leo Lobramonte.
During the orientation program, Dr. Venkateswaran explained about Certiport and the landscape of the Microsoft certification exam. He also demonstrated the student registration process to take the exam, showed a sample badge after passing the exam, and provided reference study materials for exam preparations.
The program was coordinated with the Student Development Committee. Dr. Fatima Al-Shanfari, the Head of IT Department, appreciated the entire team for initiating such an event for the students.
