Engineering Day 2019 was held on October 7 & 8, 2019 at the SCT Campus. On the first day, Speech Competition, Chess, Running and Football Games were conducted.

On Day 2, the main event started with the ceremonial ribbon cutting by the Head of Engineering Department and guests. Dr. Ali Rafeet, Head of Engineering Department welcomed and thanked the industry partners and event sponsors in his inspiring opening remarks. Sponsors of this year’s Engineering Day are AL SHANFARI GROUP AND PARTNERS, SALALAH METHANOL COMPANY, CARMEUSE MAJAN COMPANY, DHOFAR BEVERAGE AND FOODSTUFF COMPANY, DHOFAR CATTLE FEED COMPANY and FANAR-JUWEIRA-HAWANA GROUP. He mentioned that the strong support of the local companies bring about fruitful partnership of the academia and the industry sector. Certificates and Plaques of Appreciation were awarded to industry partners and event sponsors in recognition and appreciation of their continued support to the Engineering Department.

Highlights of the first day events on extemporaneous speech, chess, running and football competitions were presented for viewing by the audience at the Multipurpose Hall. Main events on the second day included Darts, Photography, Quiz and Project competitions.

Awarding of prizes and certificates to the winners of sports and academic competitions concluded the two day event.
