Dr. Mohammed Al-Raimi, a lecturer from the English Language Center at UTAS-Salalah, presented a workshop on behalf of the ELC Staff Professional Development Committee (SPDC) in the Self-Access Center on the 27th of December 2022.

The speaker highlighted that self-evaluation is a continuous process, not a periodic exercise. He shared various methods of self-evaluation based on his research sprinkled with his own self-evaluation experience.

The event ended with the analysis and interpretation of Dr. Mohammed’s questionnaire, which was answered by teachers one week prior to the workshop. Findings revealed that most ELC lecturers conduct self-evaluation for their professional development and for achieving positive impacts on students’ learning and experience.

The SPDC thanked the ELC Management and staff for participating in the workshop.
