As we bid farewell to the Holy Month of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid Al-Fitr, we are now entering the final stretch of the current Academic Year. It has been a momentous year so far for UTAS-Salalah given the several major activities which we have already accomplished and, moving forward, there are many more to come on the horizon.
As we move towards the end of the Academic Year, I encourage all our students to remain focused and committed to your academic goals. The final few months of the Academic Year are crucial and I am confident that with hard work, dedication, and perseverance, you will continue to excel in your academic activities and achieve great things.
Salalah, the capital city of the governorate of Dhofar, is the second largest city in Oman with over 160,000 people. Laying on the Indian Ocean, Salalah is a charming coastal city located in a unique place in the Arabian Peninsula in the southern region of Oman with mountainous regions on northern side and white sandy beaches fringed with coconut trees on southern side. In Salalah, you can engage in activities like camping, caving, scuba diving, camel racing, site seeing and so much more. There is always something to do for everyone in all kind of places; beaches, desert, mountains, forest, creeks, waterfalls, cities, villages, Historical sites, and much more.
