To all our graduates, on behalf of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, I want to extend my deepest congratulations to each and every one of you on this momentous occasion. Graduation marks a significant milestone in your lives and it is a testament to your hard work, determination, and commitment. As you board on the next phase of your journey, I want to remind you that the road ahead maybe challenging, but that road is also full of opportunities. Your education at UTAS-Salalah has hopefully equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and values to navigate these challenges and to make meaningful contributions that extend to the entire country. Please always keep in mind that you are not just graduates of UTAS-Salalah but you are also representing our values.
Salalah, the capital city of the governorate of Dhofar, is the second largest city in Oman with over 160,000 people. Laying on the Indian Ocean, Salalah is a charming coastal city located in a unique place in the Arabian Peninsula in the southern region of Oman with mountainous regions on northern side and white sandy beaches fringed with coconut trees on southern side. In Salalah, you can engage in activities like camping, caving, scuba diving, camel racing, site seeing and so much more. There is always something to do for everyone in all kind of places; beaches, desert, mountains, forest, creeks, waterfalls, cities, villages, Historical sites, and much more.
