Accounting for Non-Accountants is a course designed for business people, managers, employees and basically anyone without an accounting background but is interested to learn about accounting concepts, accounting processes and the basic financial statements. By establishing a foundation of knowledge of the accounting process, participants will be better equipped to understand financial reports and how these reports enhance knowledge to enable better informed business decisions.
Define accounting and the accounting cycle.
Identify the major rules and principles of accounting under the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Understand the key financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flows.
Prepare financial statements and any adjustments at month end and year-end.
Analyze the financial statements using ratio analysis and other relevant tools.
