The Engineering Department is comprised of three major Engineering sections namely, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. The programmes run by the department provide ample opportunities for the students to develop the proficiency and the skills which relate to the broader area of engineering activities.

This department is dedicated to give a wide spectrum of integrated courses in each field of specialization, thus providing a solid base to acquire knowledge and skills related to a wide area of engineering activities. The new program is carefully designed to respond to the needs stemming from the growth and development of various national sectors in all walks of life, and also to prepare students to adapt themselves to the rapidly changing and developing world of industry and engineering. This enhances career prospects and increases the opportunities for employment in the local market and gulf area at various levels.

This department runs its programmes at four levels leading respectively to Certificate, Diploma, Higher Diploma and the Bachelor of Technology degree. Hence, it covers the local needs for highly trained manpower at various demand levels namely: technicians, technologists, and professionals who will actively contribute to the development of the nation.
