The Information Technology (IT) Department is one of the three Academic Specialization Departments that offer Certificate and Diploma programs in Information Technology and IT Business, and Higher Diploma programs with specializations in Network Technology, Database Technology, Software Engineering and Multimedia. It also provides basic Information Technology and Mathematics training to foundation students.

 

The department is composed of three functional sections comprising of the Information Technology Section, the Networking Section and the Mathematics section. All are working for accreditation to offer Baccalaureate degrees in Information Technology and IT-Business at the earliest time possible as well as working to further strengthen community relations by offering significant training courses to the private sector.

 

The department aims to produce highly qualified students with good knowledge and skills in computing, who can be resourceful and independent in a highly competitive labour market.
